Single Crochet Tutorial

How to begin your foundational row. Slip stitch, chain stitch and single crochet.

The type of yarn you use does not matter for this pattern. It is just a practice pattern. Get that muscle memory working! Worsted yarn, size 4 with a crochet hook size 5.5/mm or 6/mm is a great place to start

Pattern:

Row 1: Chain 20

abbr: (20ch)

Row 2: Chain 1, skip that chain stitch, work 20 single crochet stitches into each chain stitch to the end of the row.

abbr: (1ch, sk 1ch-st, 20sc)

Row 3-10: Repeat Row 2, do not fasten off

You now have 10 rows of 20 single crochet stitches.
